England Team News
With Jason Roy ruled out of England’s T20 side due to injury, D’Arcy Short is expected to come in as number three. As far as Australia are concerned, there are no fresh injury concerns. However, Usman Khawaja has been dropped for today’s game and Travis Head comes in to take his place. Injuries will prevent Usman Khawaja from playing any further part in England’s tour of Australia but he’ll still be around for his country’s limited-overs matches against Ireland over the next two weeks

Ashton Turner, Travis Head, Peter Handscomb and Glenn Maxwell will likely come into Australia’s line-up in Adelaide. Ashton Agar might replace Adam Zampa as well. The hosts will also have plenty of fast bowlers with Mitchell Starc expected to play along with Billy Stanlake, Jason Behrendorff and Andrew Tye at Optus Stadium. Key Players
England: Alex Hales, Joe Root, Jofra Archer. Australia: David Warner, Mitchell Starc. Head to Head: The last time these two teams met in a T20I was during January 2016 in Adelaide where Australia won by 6 wickets. Overall, England has played 27 matches against Australia and has won 12 times while losing 15 times and the remaining 2 matches ended in no result. Pitch & Weather Conditions
The pitch for today’s match is expected to be decent, with a bit of help for fast bowlers. The team winning will be depending on which team can play better cricket on that particular day, and they should have an edge because they are playing at home. Wind conditions are likely to be normal during playtime and might not affect any batsmen in a big way. On balance, both teams are relatively well balanced, so it should come down to who plays better cricket on that day to clinch the title of World Champion!
