Axar Patel or Kuldeep Yadav?
In the second ODI against Zimbabwe, team India made a couple of changes to their lineup that didn’t quite pay off. One of those changes was replacing Ravi Jadeja with Axar Patel. After the game, Robin Uthappa suggested that perhaps Kuldeep Yadav should be given a chance instead. Maybe he (Axar) will get his turn in the future but right now I think Kuldeep should play said Uthappa. He has been doing well in domestic cricket and if he does well in domestic cricket, then why not give him a chance at international level?
Lockdown on Brendan Taylor and Hamilton Masakadza
During the second ODI against Zimbabwe, Indian opener Robin Uthappa suggested that the team make two changes before the third and final match of the series. The first change would be to lockdown Brendan Taylor and Hamilton Masakadza, who have been the main run-scorers for Zimbabwe so far. It’s not just about Brendon Taylor but also Hamilton Masakadza, he said. We need to take these guys out because they are going to win us matches with their experience.
The best XI to win an ODI match
Uthappa suggested that Rohit Sharma and Ajinkya Rahane should open the batting together, with Virat Kohli coming in at number three. He also said that Kedar Jadhav should be moved up the order to number four, with MS Dhoni coming in at number five. In terms of bowling we have a pretty good balance, he added. Rohit’s death bowling is outstanding. It will free up our main bowlers like Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mohammed Shami and Umesh Yadav from having to do the bulk of it. And if you are struggling on a wicket then you can still push someone like Hardik Pandya in front as an option for early breakthroughs..
