Points Table
As we gear up for the upcoming season of the BBL, let us take a look at the table predictions from some of the top teams.
There are not many unknowns going into this new season as most teams have retained their core players. However, there is always room for surprises with changes in venues and team names as well as changes in player rosters. It is hard to predict how this would affect a team’s performance going into an upcoming season but BBL predictions from some of these popular betting platforms might just give you an idea.
Here are some of BBL predictions for the upcoming season:
AlphaSports Tips – Sunrisers Hyderabad will finish second on 20 points behind Chennai Super Kings on 24 points. The defending champions Sydney Sixers could potentially fall to third if they can’t win their opening three games against Melbourne Stars, Adelaide Strikers, and Perth Scorchers. New Zealand international Colin Munro should fire them to glory again with wickets in hand while Australian opener Nic Maddinson will be pivotal towards chasing totals down or setting them up by playing his shots freely. Australia’s Test vice-captain Usman Khawaja may also be available for the first time since last year after recovering from injury; he’ll be desperate to make it count at his home ground, Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG).
Teams
It’s been announced that there will be 12 teams in the Big Bash League (BBL) in 2020-21. The question is where these clubs will play. There has been talk of Canberra and Hobart as potential venues but they may not be ready to host a team next season. There are suggestions that the Gabba, Adelaide Oval and Sydney Showground Stadium could all host teams.
Some sports fans in Brisbane have been quite vocal about their disdain for the decision to exclude the Brisbane Heat from the 2020-21 Big Bash competition. They argue that it doesn’t make sense to leave out the country’s most popular club team, especially when you consider how successful the Heat have been in recent years.

The Brisbane Heat is a cricket team from Queensland which competes in Australia’s Twenty20 competition known as the Big Bash League. The Brisbane Heat’s logo features two torches on either side of an orange ball, with their initials BBH on top. The logo also features one blue torch to signify their home ground at Carrara Oval in Queensland, while their away ground has one red torch to signify Adelaide Oval in South Australia. The club was founded in 1988 by former state cricketer Geoff Marsh. It won its first trophy, the 1997/98 Mercantile Mutual Cup tournament, by defeating Western Australia in the final at Sydney Cricket Ground.
The second title came six years later when they won the 2002/03 ING Cup tournament by defeating New South Wales Blues in the final at ANZ Stadium. They have had mixed success since then, but they were runners-up again in the 2009/10 KFC T20 Big Bash after losing to New South Wales Blues in Melbourne.
