The second picture comprises the Royal Challengers Bangalore squad members’ team huddle. The last picture comprised the fans sitting in the stands of the Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore with their flashlights, flags and jerseys to support the team.

Virat Kohli expressed his disappointment as the Royal Challengers Bangalore team could not make it to the playoffs, but he said that the team management and squad members need to keep their heads high. He also continued to thank the team coaches, the management and the squad members of Royal Challengers Bangalore for sticking with him throughout the tournament.

A big thank you to the coaches, management and my teammates. We aim to be back stronger” posted Virat Kohli on his official Instagram, Twitter and Facebook social media handles.

Recently, the Royal Challengers Bangalore team captain Faf du Plessis also spoke about the team’s failure to make it to the playoffs. While having a chat with the team’s YouTube channel he accepted how the team’s loss against Gujarat Titans still hurts. Faf also talked about the positives he found in the team this year. Skipper Faf du Plessis also praised his team members like Glenn Maxwell and Mohammed Siraj as they had some stellar performances throughout the season, which led Royal Challengers Bangalore in the fighting position for the qualification of play-offs. Failing to qualify, RCB finished their season in the fifth position of the points Table of IPL 2023.

“It still hurts. I mean, we tried really hard tonight (Sunday), but unfortunately just fell short. Looking at real positives in the form of Maxi this year, the partnerships we had between myself and Virat (Kohli), a 50-run partnership in probably every game, the consistency was remarkable. Siraj had a great campaign, so some really, really high positives and some areas in the game where we were consistently not great, I think,” said Faf du Plessis on Royal Challengers Bangalore YouTube channel after the team failed to qualify for the playoffs after the loss against Gujarat Titans on 20th May 2023.
