MUMBAI INDIAN VS ROYAL CHALLENGERS BANGALORE MATCH PREDICTION & ANALYSIS

The Mumbai Indians are about to play their first IPL match of the season against the Royal Challengers Bangalore. This is going to be the first match for the Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Mumbai Indians with three IPL titles in the last four seasons and on the other are the Royal Challengers Bangalore yet to win a single title. RCB has managed to reach the IPL final three times in the past, though. The Royal Challengers Bangalore Indians have been a bit off the pace in recent IPL seasons and this is a good opportunity for Mumbai Indians to start strong. The Royal Challengers Bangalore, on the other hand, will be keen to go face off with them and get some momentum behind them.

Mumbai Indians vs Royal Challengers Bangalore IPL 2021 is going to be played at the M. A. Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai on the 09th of April 2021.

TEAM PREVIEWS

MUMBAI INDIANS

The Mumbai Indians will be pleased to have most of their first-choice players available to them for the start of the IPL season. That has not been the case in the past and has cost them heavily. This time, though, Rohit Sharma, Ishan Kishan, Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya are sure starters for the Mumbai Indians. Travis Head and Michael Neser are a part of the test setup, though, so they will be missing.

Quinton de Kock and Kieron Pollard in their lineup to provide the explosive touch upfront while the likes of Krunal Pandya, Rahul Chahar, and Jasprit Bumrah are sure starters if they are fit. .

Two concerns pop out immediately. The Mumbai Indians lack depth and their best players are not in their best form.

One of the batsmen needs to have the season of his life.

The bowling is very good thanks to  Trent Boult leading the way has been picked to pick wickets upfront. His four overs are always tough to score off even though he does not seem to get too many wickets nowadays. Someone like James Neesham, Adam Milne, or Nathan Coulter-Nile could find a place in the eleven to help round things out.

ROYAL CHALLENGERS BANGALORE

Royal Challengers Bangalore managed to win without a single run from either of their openers. That is a good sign and shows that the lineup has resilience. Virat Kohli continues his quest to find a team good enough to lift the IPL title and this season has some new players to work with. Devdutt Padikkal were the ones that scored freely in the opening match.

Ab de Villiers is a IPL legend and we think it is just a matter of time before he gets back to run-scoring ways. Will Glenn Maxwell also comes with a serious reputation and could be in line for a big score soon.

The batting looks pretty sorted for the Royal Challengers Bangalore and that is a good thing considering their home ground is one of the highest-scoring venues of the IPL.

Washington Sundar , Mohammad Siraj, Navdeep Saini, and Yuzvendra Chahal form a very decent Indian bowling unit. He got through two overs without really making an impact.

RCB form a very good bowling attack that has pace, variation, and proven death bowling skills to call upon. The lack of a genuine spin bowling option is something that the Royal Challengers Bangalore need to address.

PITCH AND CONDITIONS

The weather is expected to be very good for cricket on match day as there is no rain predicted. We do think that there is going to be an absolutely flat batting pitch with a decent amount of bounce in it. The fast bowlers always have something to work with in Chennai and this is going to be no different.

The average score maybe something in the region of 175 or 180, below which teams are going to uncomfortable defending.

MI VS RCB BETTING TIPS

We think the team to back in this contest is the home team. The Royal Challengers Bangalore have a strong squad this season with some good batsmen and a very well-rounded pace attack. The lack of form for one or two of the big players is not that much of worry. The Mumbai Indians also have a good bowling attack but their batting depth is a real concern.

Bet on the Royal Challengers Bangalore to win.
