Introduction
The inaugural International League T20 has announced its complete schedule. This will be a three-week tournament, which is set to begin on August 20th and run through September 11th. The league features six teams from three different countries; the United States, Canada, and Australia. There are going to be two double-headers each day with every match being streamed live on YouTube for free. The matches themselves will take place in New York City at MCU Park in Brooklyn and Maple Leaf Cricket Grounds in Toronto. The league begins on Wednesday night when the Red Stick Rising faces off against Cricket West Indies B Team at 7 pm EST.
In order of how the group stage will proceed, we have Minnesota Fats (USA) vs Red Stick Rising (USA) on Thursday at 7 pm EST followed by Perth Heat (AUS) vs Melbourne Stars (AUS). Then there’s Tampa Bay Knights (USA) vs Canadian National Team IBC (CAN) Saturday evening followed by Hollywood East Eagles (USA) against Winnipeg Warriors (CAN).
While both games are played simultaneously Sunday evening we have Winnipeg Warriors taking on Melbourne Stars while it’s Minnesota Fats versus Hollywood East Eagles.
The Format
The inaugural season of the International League T20 has been announced with a full schedule. The competition will be played between 4 October and 10 November 2018 and will feature six teams. The tournament will have a round-robin stage, after which, the top four teams will progress to the playoffs. The semi-finals and finals will be played at the home venues of the higher-ranked teams. The Teams
Teams for the inaugural ILT20 were selected by a process of nomination and voting. The teams are from six countries, with one team from each participating country.
Team Bangladesh is made up of players from the Bangladesh Premier League, who will play the majority of their matches in Sylhet (the city’s ground).
Team England is led by Eoin Morgan and includes Joe Root, Jason Roy, Ben Stokes and Jos Buttler. Matches will be played at various grounds around England.
Team India has a star-studded line-up including Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan.
The Schedule
