Liam Livingstone All Set For T20 World Cup Return

England Announce Squad For T20I Series Against Pakistan

England has announced their squad for the upcoming 3-match Twenty 20 International series against Pakistan. The squad sees an unchanged 13 from the squad that was named to take on New Zealand at home. There are no major surprises in the squad and there have been some notable selections that have gone largely unnoticed. Liam Livingstone, who retired from international cricket after England’s Test series win over Sri Lanka, has returned to the squad as cover with Jos Buttler out of action due to injury. Other players like Joe Denly and Alex Hales have also been recalled to the national set-up as they look to get back into form ahead of next year’s ICC World T20 tournament in Australia.

England Launch Tour Of West Indies

England has launched their tour of the West Indies with a training session in St. George’s, Grenada, where they will play four one-day internationals and three Twenty20 matches against the hosts.
The team has been without opener Liam Livingstone since he suffered a torn meniscus in his knee during the early part of England’s NatWest Series victory over South Africa at The Oval last month.
Livingstone is now back in full training and is set to return to the side for their upcoming internationals in the Caribbean.
It was good to be back out there, said Livingstone. I feel like I am getting my rhythm back now. It’s not quite as sharp but hopefully, it will come together quickly.
Livingstone missed the five-match ODI series defeat by Australia but should be available for next week’s second Test at Lord’s.
He is currently working on strengthening his lower body but hopes that he might get some game time in before the Tests begin.
I would like to do something before it starts if possible, Livingstone told BBC Sport. Whether it means coming off the bench or starting on tour or playing for Lancashire again.

England Squad Announced For 2nd Test Vs India At Lord’s

England has announced their squad to take on India in the second Test at Lord’s, which starts on Thursday 14th August. There are no major surprises with Ben Stokes still not available for selection due to his pending legal case. Joe Root is also absent from the squad with a broken finger sustained in the first Test so James Vince is set to make his debut at 3. While Jonny Bairstow will miss out due to injury and Jos Buttler has been dropped, England has recalled Liam Livingstone and he is set to make his return to international cricket following five years away from the game. The 22-year-old Lancashire batsman made two appearances during England’s tour of Sri Lanka in 2016 but has not played any cricket since then.
